Is it hard for Waldorf students to enter public high schools? Each student is unique. In general, Waldorf kids do very well in Public High School after attending Waldorf Schools. Teachers often speak of how Waldorf students are generous, creative and interested in what they have to offer. Do Waldorf students do well in the 'real world'? Waldorf students far exceed their peers from other education systems. A Survey of Waldorf Graduates indicates that Waldorf Education is achieving the following in its graduates:

Why does the school suggest a limit to kid's exposure to TV and electronics? There are now reports that support what Waldorf education has practiced for many years... Silence is necessary for the brain and body to recharge. Visual over-stimulation counteracts with imagination, and electronics can affect sleep patterns. It is suggested to not watch TV or play video games on school nights, if at all. Do kids use computers? Kids in pre-school through 5th grade do not use the computer in their studies. Gradually from 6th grade to 8th grade computer science skills are accepted in the curriculum. The limited exposure in children's early years does not seem to reduce their capability to learn computer science in Jr. High and High School. In fact, in many ways, a Waldorf education improves computer science with kids having more comprehensive thinking skills.
