Corvallis Waldorf School Gets a New Home

The Corvallis Waldorf Association and the 509J School District have signed a lease agreement that allows Corvallis Waldorf School to occupy the former Fairplay Elementary School site, located on 3855 NE Highway 20, (at Conifer Boulevard) in Northeast Corvallis. The lease is for 10 years, with the option of a 5-year extension.

The new site provides a much-needed space for the Waldorf School, which experienced a 30 percent enrollment increase this year. Although the majority of its students live in Corvallis, the school attracts families from Albany, Philomath, Monmouth, and Salem. Because of the proximity of the new site to Albany, the school expects an increase in enrollment from the Albany area.

Corvallis Waldorf School, a not-for-profit organization, was established in 1993, and is one of more than 800 Waldorf schools worldwide. The school currently offers preschool, kindergarten, through middle school. It also offers after school care and parent-toddler programs.

The Waldorf school has a quaint little forest with gazeebo and trail. Please call or email us at 758-4674, admin@corvalliswaldorfschool.org
