Rainbow Dance Company

Valerie Bergman and Darryl Thomas, directors of Rainbow Dance Theatre have been part of our community for 7 years and they have held many fundraisers for the school in years passed.

The Grand Opening of the new Rainbow Dance Center will be held on Saturday September 8 at 11 AM at the Timberhill Athletic Club in Corvallis.  The event is free and open to the general public.  It will include a performance by the Rainbow Dance Theatre, directed by Darryl Thomas and Valerie Bergman (CWS parents), as well as a "mini-dance-class" and open registration for the Rainbow Dance Center (RDC) classes which begin on September 17.  All dance classes will be taught by the professional dance artists of Rainbow Dance Theatre. For more information call 757-8559 or (503) 623-9320.

Anthroposophical Study Group

Anthroposophy, or Spiritual Science, is a path of knowledge that strives to understand the human being and its relationship to the cosmos. Anthroposophy arose out of the work of Rudolf Steiner and is the foundation upon which movements such as Waldorf Education and Biodynamic Agriculture are built.

The reading/discussion group is open to everyone and meets every Tuesday evening 7:30-8:30 pm at the home of Woody Fitzgerald and Julie Courtney (1460 SW Allen St., Corvallis, 754-0194)

On September 18th we will choose a new book to read, so bring suggestions if you have specific interests.

Free Wood Scraps

The leftover pieces of wood from various CWS projects are next to the dumpster in the parking lot. Please take what you would like within the next week.
