Welcome to our new Preschool Teacher

We are delighted to announce that Tracee Hicks will be joining our Early Childhood faculty as the new Preschool teacher.

Tracee graduated from the Eugene Waldorf Teacher Training Program in 2006. Since that time she has assisted Judy Lamb in the Rosebud Preschool at the Eugene Waldorf School. Tracee has two daughters who will be attending the Corvallis Waldorf School in the fall.

Tracee is excited to grow our second preschool and bring with her a deep commitment to Waldorf education.

Board Election Results:

Welcome to the new CWS Board members for 2008-2009!

Alan Ayres, Woody Fitzgerald, Gregg Kleiner, and Traci McMerritt have been elected to the Board of Directors. Thank you for voting.

Immunizations

Starting the next school year 2008-2009, children in kindergarten and preschool will be required to have two doses of Hepaitits A vaccine. Students in 7th grade will be required to have one dose of Tdap. Immunization forms are in the office for new students.

Da Vinci Days

The School will have a booth at Da Vinci Days this year.  We are doing something that is just for fun - bubble makingWe are going to have sieves, wands, hoops, anything that we can think of to try and make bubbles out of.....

We need volunteers to person the booth:  If you volunteer you will receive a free week-end pass for Da Vinci Days.  We will need two volunteers per shift.  Please call the office if you  can help, 758-4674.

Fall Festival

The Corvallis Waldorf School will be doing its annual fundraising food booth at the Fall Festival -Saturday and Sunday, September 20th and 21st. We will be serving roasted corn and ice cream in partnership with vendors. We may also have a small space to sell coffee. We need at least 5 volunteers for each of the three shifts for both days plus a crew to set up on Friday night and a crew to tear down Sunday evening. This means there are approximately 36 shifts needed  to be filled.  Please call the office if you can help.

Rainbow Library Book Returns and Summer Reading

 All books that are currently checked out must be either returned or
renewed by June 9. If your family is re-enrolled, you may check out books over the summer, which are due September 18th after school resumes (you will receive a reminder at the start
of school). Please pay all outstanding fees to the office by June 9.

CWS Summer Music Program for Grades 4-8

Summer Strings - join us for a week filled with fun and music...music games, chamber music, private lesson, fiddle song, cookies :) etc...
Several levels offered - depending on enrollment.
Final performance (optional) at the Saturday Market and ice cream! :)

One week class July 7-11, 9:00am - 11:00am MON-FRI, here at the CWS School
Open to grades 4-8, $50
Taught by Janet Throop and Lenka White.

Corvallis Waldorf School Early Childhood Summer Program! 

Now is the time to sign up for CWS summer camps. There will be three weekly sessions starting July 7th, July 14 & July 21, Monday through Friday, 8:30-12:30.  Hands-on activities such as baking, cooking, puppet shows, sculpting, crafts, planting and outdoor play with themes from Native American and global cultures woven in. Sarah Shook and her assistant, Meredith Lawrence will be teaching the classes. Brochures and registration forms are available in the office.

·         Ungnomes Softball practice will be at 5:30pm, Friday, at CWS.  Any   questions please call Joe at 207-3075.  Game this Sunday, June 1, Washington (at 8th and Polk)

·        The next Gnomes Soft Ball Games will be on Sunday, June 22, and 29 on  Polk and 8th,   Call Joe Charlone at 541-207-3075 for any questions.
