Every parent at Corvallis Waldorf School is a member of the Parent Council. Attending meetings is a fast track to understanding how the school works and making connections with other parents throughout the school. Class parents attend Parent Council meetings and then report to the rest of the parents in their respective classes. Parent Council as a group is responsible for the New Parent Orientation and Dinner at the beginning of each school year and throughout the year support the faculty an staff in ways both large and small.

The Parent Council has three main goals and uses these to organize their meeting agenda and their work.

  • To provide educational opportunities for parents that deepen their understanding and appreciation of Waldorf Education
  • To inspire, nourish, and celebrate members of the CWS community
  • To serve as a communication bridge within the CWS community
